James Anderson says his position as Englands leading wicket-taker is yet to properly sink in after he collected his OBE. Anderson, who moved past Sir Ian Bothams previous milestone of 383 wickets last year, received his honour from the Prince of Wales during an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace on Thursday. The Lancashire seam bowler, who moved on to 433 Test wickets during the series win over South Africa, ranks seventh on the all-time list and needs only two more to move past Indian great Kapil Dev. Anderson said it was a surreal moment to be handed his honour But Anderson still finds it hard to come to terms with the success the sport has brought him.On breaking the record, Anderson said: It was a real surreal moment for me. Obviously Sir Ian Botham is someone Ive looked up to as a child growing up - and to pass him, it still hasnt sunk in yet. Anderson was presented with the honour by the Prince of Wales at an investiture ceremony Again, Im just lucky Ive managed to play the game long enough to be able to overtake him and contribute to English cricket as I have. Its amazing. I feel very fortunate to have made a career out of cricket. Sir Ian Botham (left) lost his England Test wickets record to the Lancashire bowler in the West Indies last year Obviously Ive played for England for over 10 years and to be recognised for that is really special for me and a huge honour for myself and my family.Anderson feels very positive about the future of English cricket, with new head coach Trevor Bayliss having overseen an Ashes victory and the impressive series win in South Africa since his arrival. Anderson has had plenty to celebrate over the last 12 months He added: Weve got an exciting team at the moment.Obviously some young guys have come in during the last 12 months, a bit of a transitional phase for us, and I think when that happens the results arent always going to be consistent but I think were moving in the right direction. Nick Knight joins James Cole as they preview the fourth ODI between South Africa and England The new coach Trevor Bayliss has been brilliant in helping the younger guys settle into the team and perform at their best. Will South Africa square up the series in Johannesburg on Friday? England outscored their opponents five tries to one as they ran out 27-13 winners at Twickenham on Sunday.Eddie Jones side were in full flight ahead of their venture to Australia to take on the Wallabies, but the Sky Sports pundit believes both camps will take a lot from the encounter. I think both sides will be chuffed with that, said Greenwood. I thought it was a cracking Test match.Mike Phillips sent out an interesting Tweet before the game saying how happy he was that there was finally a proper Test match before heading to the southern hemisphere. Englands head coach Eddie Jones felt his side showed that they could be tactically flexible If you keep getting battered by southern hemisphere sides you need a proper warm-up game and today those teams got that.Bodies were put through the mill, players like Dylan Hartley, Alun Wyn-Jones and Scott Williams got a proper game of rugby under their belt.A few deficiencies were there from both sides and hopefully that will have helped iron them out because these teams have the ultimate challenge, theyre playing the World Cup finalists. While Wales will be disappointed with the loss, both coaches will take an enormous amount out of todays game to help them hopefully achieve success in the southern hemisphere. It was a great confidence builder, Eddie Jones is now six from six and has beaten Warren Gatland twice. England are in really good shape but there is a big challenge coming in Australia. Dylan Hartley and Joe Launchbury were both concerned with Englands slow start to their match against Wales England took victory despite missing some frontline players.dddddddddddd None of the Exeter or Saracens players who took part in the Aviva Premiership final on Saturday were able to play for Eddie Jones team, which means they can still improve.Theres no doubt that the Grand Slam was heavily reliant in key moments of that Six Nations on five or six Saracens players, and Jack Nowell can score wonder-tries so throw him into the mix too. Teimana Harrison was excellent and Jack Clifford will get a lot of headlines. Im also loving what Anthony Watson is doing with his finishing at the moment. Will Greenwood However the World Cup winner says those players have their work cut out for them in getting back into the team after some good performances at Twickenham.Joe Launchbury was brilliant, he took the first lineout, took the first restart and made the first tackle. He was everywhere - a man mountain. Warren Gatland was reasonably happy with aspects of Wales 27-13 defeat to England I thought the second row depth in general for England was outstanding in fact - Launchbury and Courtney Lawes both played well. The challenge has been set by two incredible players in George Kruis and Maro Itoje, but Launchbury is hot on their heels.Teimana Harrison was excellent and Jack Clifford will get a lot of headlines. Im also loving what Anthony Watson is doing with his finishing at the moment.England now head to Australia to take on the Wallabies in a three-match tour, and Greenwood hopes that Jones side can build on Sundays win and compete in a tough series against last years losing World Cup finalists. As a fan I would like the series to be alive in the third Test.If England win one of the first two Tests and head to Sydney with the series still in the balance then theyre not quite back, but theyre starting to get their cutlery out to sit at the top table of rugby.
